Dubai is a city of wonders, and there's no shortage of attractions to explore during your stay at Address Beach Resort. Here are a few highlights we highly recommend:
• Burj Khalifa: No visit to Dubai is complete without seeing the tallest building in the world. We took the elevator to the observation deck on the 148th floor for an awe-inspiring view of the city. Tickets are priced around AED 150 ($41) for adults and AED 115 ($31) for children. It’s best to book in advance to avoid long lines, and the observation deck is open daily from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Dubai Mall: Located nearby the Burj Khalifa, this sprawling shopping haven is not just about retail therapy. We enjoyed the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, which is one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world. Entrance fees are about AED 120 ($33) per person. The mall also features an indoor ice rink and numerous dining options.
• Dubai Marina: F or a scenic evening, we took a stroll along Dubai Marina. The waterfront promenade is lined with stylish restaurants and cafes, offering stunning views of the yachts and skyscrapers. A dhow cruise in the marina is also a delightful way to experience the city’s skyline from the water.
Dubai's culinary scene is as diverse and vibrant as the city itself. During our stay, we explored some local food options that were both delicious and budget-friendly:
• Shawarma: We indulged in this classic Middle Eastern dish at a popular street vendor. The flavorful, marinated meat wrapped in a pita with fresh veggies and sauce cost us around AED 20 ($5.50) each. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting Dubai!
• Falafel: For a vegetarian option, we tried falafel at a local eatery. These crispy chickpea patties, served in a pita with salad and tahini sauce, were priced at around AED 15 ($4). They were incredibly tasty and satisfying.
• Lamb Kebabs: We also dined at a traditional Emirati restaurant where we enjoyed succulent lamb kebabs. The dish, served with rice and grilled vegetables, cost approximately AED 50 ($14). The rich flavors and authentic preparation made it a memorable meal.
• Currency: The local currency is the UAE Dirham (AED). While credit cards are widely accepted, it's handy to carry some cash for small purchases.
• Transportation: Taxis are readily available and reasonably priced, but the Dubai Metro is a convenient option for navigating the city, especially for popular destinations.
• Climate: Dubai’s weather can be quite hot, especially from June to September. Pack light, breathable clothing and stay hydrated.
Lykkers, our stay at Address Beach Resort was nothing short of magical, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We hope our insights inspire you to experience the luxury and excitement of Dubai for yourself. Until next time, happy travels!
